There are
many opportunities for you to become involved in local missions. Through
Ocoee Outreach, Ocoee Resort Ministries, Project Helping Hands, and other
Church & Community Ministry projects.
-
Ocoee Outreach
is a ministry that reaches out to needy families in the Cleveland area
through home repair. Each summer teams come from all over the Southern
United States to do roofing, painting, building wheel chair ramps, and
many other home repair projects. They also reach these families with
the love of Jesus Christ. Local teams are needed to help. To learn
more about Ocoee Outreach, you may click on the menu below or go to
their website at
http://www.ocoeeoutreach.com/.
You may also call the Randy Bonner at 423-476-5493.

Ocoee Resort Ministries works
throughout Bradley and Polk County to reach people with the love of
Jesus Christ where they rest and play. You may find teams on the Ocoee
River, at Deer Park, in campgrounds, or at festivals and carnivals.
Anywhere there are people enjoying recreation, Ocoee Resort Ministries
is there spreading the Gospel. To learn more about this ministry, click
on the menu below or call Chris Stewart at 423-476-5493.

Both of the
above ministries use salvation bracelets. This past summer they gave
away over 8,000 salvation bracelets during their activities. If your
church would like to make some of these bracelets it would be greatly
appreciated. Call the office at 423-476-5493 for a pattern and
materials list.

Disaster Relief teams are
trained to work with the TBC when disasters strike throughout our state
and country. TBC Disaster Relief teams helped serve thousands of hot
meals to workers at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11. They have also
helped people all over the country to clean up and rebuild after floods,
tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc. We have also begun putting
together and distributing Disaster Relief Boxes to local families who
suffer home damage or loss as a result of fire, flooding, etc. These
boxes help families get back on their feet with everyday household
items. If you would like to be trained in disaster relief or would like
more information on how your church can sponsor a Disaster Relief Box,
please call Randy Bonner at 423-476-5493.

LateNight
Basketball
is a ministry held at the Blythe
Neighborhood Safe Haven. Latenight is a partnership between the
Association and the Cleveland City Police Department that targets
getting teens off the streets on Friday nights and into a safe
environment where positive relationships can be built with men of our
churches and the Gospel can be presented. Call Randy Bonner at
423-476-5493 for future dates and info on how you can be a part of this
ministry.

Project
Helping Hands is in its 6th
year as it continues to help low income families who are struggling to
make ends meet during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.
Volunteers from our churches work various stations during the
application process that includes sharing the Gospel and also making
home visits to verify and discover needs. One of the beautiful things
about PHH is the way it identifies families in need and connects them
with churches, companies, groups or individuals who will come along side
them to provide basic necessities and a little more. Call Randy Bonner
at 423-476-5493 if you would like to help in this ministry.
